This Privacy Policy explains how Bilal Karakaya (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the Trygo: AI Time Tracker mobile application (the “App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws, including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) of Japan.
To provide our smart time-tracking and reporting services, we collect the following types of information:
Account Data: When you sign in using Apple or Google, we collect your email address, name (if provided), and a unique user ID to synchronize your data securely across devices.
Voice Data (Speech & Audio): When you use the voice command feature, your speech is captured via the microphone and converted into text. In most cases, transcription is performed by your device’s built-in speech recognition service and only the resulting text is transmitted to our servers. If the built-in service is unavailable, a short audio recording of your command is collected and processed for transcription instead.
Location Data (Background Location): With your explicit permission, we collect background location data (Geofencing) to trigger automatic tracking reminders when you enter or leave designated work areas.
Automatically Collected Data: We collect standard device information, including device model, operating system version, app usage statistics, and crash logs to improve app performance. We also collect a device-specific, non-advertising identifier (iOS identifierForVendor / Android ID) solely to enforce daily usage limits on AI features and prevent abuse. This identifier is not linked to your account or identity and is not shared with third parties.
We use the collected data strictly to operate and improve the App.
Platform Speech Recognition (Voice Data): Your voice commands are first transcribed using your device’s built-in speech recognition service (Apple Speech Recognition on iOS, Google speech services on Android). Depending on your device and language settings, audio may be processed on Apple’s or Google’s servers in accordance with their respective privacy policies. Only the resulting text transcript leaves the App for command processing.
Zero-Training AI Policy (OpenAI): The text transcript of your command is processed using the OpenAI API (GPT-4o mini) solely to interpret your instruction and generate time-tracking logs. If your device’s speech recognition service is unavailable, a short audio recording of your command is transcribed using OpenAI’s Whisper API instead. We strictly enforce OpenAI’s API data privacy policies: your voice and text data are NOT used to train OpenAI’s artificial intelligence models. Data sent to the API is processed temporarily and is not retained by third-party AI providers for machine learning purposes.
Strict Location Privacy (Geofencing): Your background location data is used exclusively on your device (or temporarily processed on our secure servers) to send you timely notifications (Geofencing triggers). We do not sell, broker, or share your raw location data or addresses with any third-party marketing or data agencies. General Operations: We use usage data to maintain the app, process your subscription payments, and provide customer support.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only with:
Service Providers: Trusted third-party infrastructure providers (such as OpenAI for command interpretation and fallback transcription, and Apple/Google for speech recognition, sign-in, and payment processing) who process data under their respective privacy policies and applicable data processing terms.
Cloud Storage Providers: We use secure cloud database services (e.g., Supabase) to store and synchronize your time logs, user profile, and authentication data.
Subscription Management: We use third-party platforms (e.g., RevenueCat) to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions securely without accessing your raw payment details.
Geocoding Services: When your device’s built-in address lookup cannot resolve an address you enter (for example, addresses typed in certain non-Latin scripts), we send the address text or your coordinates to OpenStreetMap’s Nominatim service to resolve it. No account identifiers are attached to this request.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request (e.g., a court order), we may disclose specific data to authorities.
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide our services. You can delete your time logs and location history directly within the App. Upon account deletion, all associated personal data will be permanently deleted from our active servers within 30 days.
Depending on your jurisdiction (including users in Japan under the APPI), you have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request the deletion of your personal data.
Withdraw your consent for background location or microphone access at any time via your device settings.
